New Year ~ New Word

Last November I selected my one word resolution for 2015.  It will prove to be another test of my perseverance, but the results will be worth it.  MINIMALISM

Last year my word was TOLERANCE.  I learned a lot about myself.  The trait of being judgmental was putting a lot of weight on my mind.  The actions of others that fell outside my "acceptance" really nagged at me.  By learning to slough off the bothersome behaviors of others proved to be such a "lightening" experience.  So I made a pact to myself that if someone's quirks affected my life in no way ... but we're simply annoying ... then I told myself "Not my circus, not my monkey."  Lesson:  It became easier to be tolerant than to be concerned about ''perceived flaws" in others.

So 2014 was a year of positive growth .... and I am hoping for the same in 2015.
Here's to the "lightening" of life !!!
